Detailed Storytelling

This project holds personal and professional significance for both our team and the designer, Arpit Jain of JAD Arch Studio. At the time, both of us were at the early stages of our independent journeys — Arpit having just left a major firm to start his own practice, and us, taking early steps into full-scope custom furniture execution. The Mahesh Rathod residence was one of our first collaborative commissions together.

Scope of Work

  • Living room: Coffee tables, side tables, chairs, and a media unit
  • Bedroom: Storage beds in solid wood with factory-applied distressed white finish

Special Highlights

  • The white distressed finish applied to the solid wood beds was a major improvement over our previous attempts. Unlike earlier projects where we struggled with on-site finishing, this project marked the successful shift to factory-finished excellence.
  • These were the first storage beds we had ever constructed entirely in solid wood, which required new techniques in detailing and assembly.
  • While the project was modest in scale, it became an important milestone — not just for our portfolio, but as a trigger for many future client leads.

Looking back, this was one of our most formative projects. It wasn't just about the furniture we made — it was about growing through new materials, new friendships, and trusting each other to create something meaningful in the early days of our independent practices.
